Pony Rides in Stadtwald

Just found this batch of pictures from October and they were too cute not to post even though they were taken 5 months ago. We met up with our friends Chloe and Axel and their kids Matilda, Annie and Mimi at the Stadtwald. The Stadtwald is on the outskirts of Köln and is a huge public park/ forest with lots of animals, pony rides, playgrounds, hiking trails- it’s amazing.

Oma, gib mir Schokolade (Grandma, give me chocolate)

There’s this awesome rap group here whose music is geared for kids called Deine Freunde (Your Friends). Their song Schokolade (Chocolate) has been in our heads incessantly over the past few weeks. I love that this group’s songs have wholesome and interesting lyrics (they don’t dumb it down because it’s for kids). And they’re very catchy as well- we bought the whole album. I’m posting their video/ song Schokolade below. The song is about how everybody always tells them they should eat fruits and veggies, but they can always count on their Grandma to hook them up with chocolate 🙂 You can find more of their videos on YouTube.
